Witnessing the White Horizon

High in the Argentine Andes, the salt flats stretch beyond the horizon in every direction. Under shifting clouds and an unforgiving sun, the landscape often feels detached from scale itself — a place where earth and sky dissolve into an endless field of white.

 

Yet beneath this apparent emptiness lies a landscape shaped by people. Families have harvested salt here for generations, working in conditions defined by wind, heat, altitude, and isolation.
